STEG Engineering are a General Engineering firm set up to service the Steel Industry in Medium to Heavy Machining, Fitting and Fabrication. Also to respond to emergency work at any time around the clock.

Our capacities include, General Turning, Roll Building, Shaft & Journal Repairs, Long Acme Shafts, Single or Multiple Starts, Rubber Roll Grinding, Crowning, Heavy CNC Milling, Boring and Turning.

Our milling capacity is from small items up to very large components as would lend themselves to our 8 Meter Mill with CNC control.

Turning CNC up to 850 swing and 3 meters between center.

Our fabrication shop is well equipped with MIG Welding and Sub Arc for reclamation work on Rolls etc and special hard facing and Bronze Overlaying.

We offer a full strip inspect, Repair and Re-Assemble service

We have overhead traveling cranes up to 10 tonne and have our own tray truck for urgent pickup and delivery.

Steg Engineering is currently engaged in General Engineering work, servicing Bluescope's Hastings Steel Mill and ESSO Refinery. We manufacture new spares and carry out repairs on damaged equipment.

Our specialties are roll building, repair of rolls, shaft welding ferrous and non-ferrous materials, also fabrication associated with machining, or in it's own right. CNC Milling and Boring on large components and CNC Turning on Long Heavy work, Pump and Valve Machining.
